Their attraction for each other has an electricity to it that jumps out at you from the screen. But Lukas is afraid of how he will be perceived by town if the truth is revealed. The dilemma that Lukas faces gradually begins to tear him apart until he is finally able to come to grips with what is reality in his life. Philip is a lot more chill; eventually he tells his foster parents that he is gay. He remains the patient one in their relationship, even when he is publicly rejected by Lukas.
