The airport's location is what gives it its fearsome reputation. Nestled deep in the Inn Valley and surrounded by sheer mountain faces, the approaches and departures are anything but standard. Many procedures can only be flown by pilots who have received special authorization from the federal office of civil aviation. What is a challenging operation in good weather can become —a reality the Aerosoft team has captured with remarkable fidelity. The legendary approach to Runway 08, a visual procedure that requires pilots to execute a tight, low-level turn in a narrow valley, is the stuff of flight simulation legend, and this scenery was designed to perfectly recreate that white-knuckle experience.
On the compatibility front, the scenery was designed to play nicely with other popular add-ons. It is fully compatible with all AI traffic add-ons and integrates seamlessly with from version 2.06 onward. It is also compatible with major landclass and terrain products like Ultimate Terrain Europe (UTE) and Austria Professional 2004 (ATP2004) . By 2021, the simulation landscape had changed dramatically. Prepar3D v5 was mature, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 had just turned one year old. Yet, a dedicated community of simmers still clung to FSX, not out of nostalgia, but because of the depth of specific add-ons.
