: Always "Read" and save the original CAFD (Coding Application File) before any modification.
: It is frequently used for critical "reflashing" tasks, such as updating a vehicle's I-Step to enable features like Apple CarPlay on EntryNav2 units. Advanced Feature Coding
Standard E-Sys is trimmed (unreadable data); you need a "Launcher" (like BimmerUtility or E-Sys Launcher Pro) and a token to "untouch" and map the data for FDL coding. External Power Supply: esys 3.36
The Vehicle Order (known as Fahrzeugauftrag or FA in German) is a master string of alphanumeric codes stored in the car's primary ECUs. It dictates exactly what features, packages, and regions the car was built with.
Requires a high-quality ENET cable (OBD2 to Ethernet) and a dedicated Windows laptop. : Always "Read" and save the original CAFD
Allow passengers to watch DVD or USB video content while the vehicle is moving.
: For flashing or extensive coding, a constant 13.6V+ battery stabilizer is mandatory to prevent module bricking. External Power Supply: The Vehicle Order (known as
When flashing ECUs with PSdZData versions 4.17.20 or higher, you must use E-Sys version 3.30.0 or newer. While 3.36 is safe, any ESYS 3.x version should be generally OK here.
It is important to note that if you are only performing VO Coding (flashing modules) or basic programming, you do not need a launcher at all. The raw E-Sys 3.36 works fine for those jobs.
