Check every ride; change every 300–500 miles (or 15–20 hours of off-road use). Valve Clearance: Inspect every 1,000 miles.

Reinstall the drain plug and tighten it to 15 Nm. Pour 800 ml of fresh 10W-40 JASO MA2 motorcycle oil into the dipstick hole. 4. Electrical System and Troubleshooting

Turn the square adjuster screw until the feeler gauge slides through with a slight, smooth drag.

Stuff a clean rag into the open crankcase mouth to prevent loose parts from falling inside. Remove one of the piston pin circlips using needle-nose pliers. Push the wrist pin out and remove the piston. Inspection and Reassembly

Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the rocker arm adjustment screw and the valve stem. Intake Valve Clearance: 0.05 mm (0.002 in) Exhaust Valve Clearance: 0.07 mm (0.003 in)

7–10 ft-lbs (9–13 Nm) with blue thread locker . Flywheel Nut: 30–35 ft-lbs (40–48 Nm).

Place an oil pan under the engine. The drain bolt is a 17mm bolt located on the flat bottom of the crankcase. (Caution: Do not confuse it with the angled 14mm timing chain tensioner bolt nearby).

The piston crown will feature an "IN" stamp or an arrow. The "IN" stamp must face the intake valve (upward), or the arrow must point toward the exhaust port (downward).

If the engine runs poorly or only with the choke engaged, the pilot jet is likely clogged. Remove the float bowl, unscrew the brass jets, and clear them using compressed air or dedicated carburetor cleaning wire. 4. Torque Specifications & Rebuild Tolerances
